Tracking templates and UTMs
AdProtektor can apply a Final URL suffix to your Google Ads account so every session attributes to the right campaign, keyword and ad group without a redirect tracker. Pre-click blocking via Google Ads tracking templates is designed but not yet available in the dashboard.
Automatic UTM tagging
Attribution needs campaign parameters on your ad URLs. AdProtektor can apply these automatically as a Final URL suffix on your Google Ads account, so sessions attribute to campaign, keyword and ad group with no redirect tracker in the path — nothing extra for the visitor to wait on.
Apply it from your Google Ads integration settings. The current status is shown there, so you can confirm it is in place rather than assuming.
Google's own click IDs are read regardless
gclid, wbraid and gbraid are captured whether or not you apply UTMs. The suffix adds the human-readable campaign, keyword and ad-group dimensions on top.
Pre-click blocking with tracking templates
Not yet available
Tracking-template support is built but switched off in the dashboard, where it shows as "Coming soon". There is nothing to apply today — exclusion-based protection is the shipped mechanism, and it does not depend on this.
When it ships, a tracking template will route the ad click through a checkpoint before your landing page, so traffic already identified as fraudulent can be diverted on arrival rather than served your page. Because templates sit in the path of every ad click, they will be applied through AdProtektor rather than by hand.
Checking status
The UTM suffix reports its status in your integration settings, so you can tell at a glance whether it is applied, pending or failed.
Frequently asked questions
Will UTM tagging break my Google Analytics?
No — the suffix uses standard UTM parameters, which GA4 reads natively. If you already set your own suffix, review the combination so parameters are not duplicated.
Do I need the tracking template?
No — and you could not use it today in any case, since it is not enabled yet. Exclusion-based protection works without it; pre-click diversion is an extra layer rather than a prerequisite.
