Manual blocks and whitelisting
Automatic blocking handles the volume; manual controls handle the exceptions. You can block or unblock any IP or person by hand, whitelist a false positive in one click, bulk-unblock, and export your block lists to CSV.
Whitelisting a false positive
If a real customer has been blocked, find them in Analytics → Blocked Persons or Blocked IPs and whitelist them. A whitelisted person or IP is exempt from future automatic blocking, so the same customer will not be caught again.
Whitelist your own team
Staff, agencies and QA testers who repeatedly click your live ads look exactly like repeat-click fraud. Whitelisting them up front avoids both the noise and the awkward support ticket.
Blocking something manually
You can block any IP or person directly, without waiting for it to cross a threshold — useful when you already know a source is bad, or when you spot a pattern before the engine has enough observations.
Bulk operations and export
- Bulk unblock — clear blocks in one action after changing your threshold, rather than one at a time.
- CSV export — take your block lists elsewhere, for reporting, an audit, or a claim.
Starting over
After a significant threshold change, bulk-unblocking gives you a clean baseline so your next few days of data reflect the new setting rather than a mix of both.
Frequently asked questions
Does whitelisting affect the threat score?
The visitor is still scored and still appears in your analytics — whitelisting exempts them from being acted on, so you keep visibility without the block.
Will a manual block sync to Google Ads?
Yes. Manually blocked IPs go into your exclusion lists through the same sync as automatic ones, with the same audit trail.
