Dashboard overview
The dashboard summarises protection for the selected website and date range: visitors and blocks, legitimate-traffic and protection scores, the threat breakdown by category, and an estimate of the ad budget saved by blocking fraudulent clicks.
Everything follows the date range
Every figure on the page reflects the selected period, in your account's timezone. If a number looks wrong, check the range first — it is the usual explanation.
The top metrics
- Unique visitors
- Distinct people in the period, with total sessions shown underneath. People rather than sessions, because clustering links a visitor's multiple sessions.
- Blocked
- Persons and/or IPs blocked, labelled according to your blocking mode — so the number always means what it says.
- Block rate
- The share of traffic that was blocked. Useful as a trend rather than an absolute — a sudden jump usually means an attack.
Protection scores
Alongside the share of your traffic that is legitimate, the dashboard scores how well protected you actually are — separately for your website, your Google Ads account and your Meta account.
A low protection score is a setup problem, not a fraud problem
These scores reflect configuration, not attack volume. A low one almost always means something is not connected or not switched on — check your Setup Guide.
Threat breakdown
Counts per traffic category for the period, with legitimate crawlers reported separately so they never inflate your fraud numbers. See Traffic classification.
Budget protected
An estimate of the ad spend saved by blocking fraudulent clicks: blocked paid-ad clicks multiplied by cost per click. Where a platform's real cost data is available it is used; otherwise you can set the CPC yourself, per platform.
Set your real CPC or this number is a guess
With a default CPC, the figure is illustrative. Enter your actual cost per click — or connect the ad platform so real cost data flows in — before quoting it to anyone.
Since your last visit
A digest summarises what changed since you were last here, and flags anomalies such as a fraud spike — so you do not have to compare periods manually to notice something happened.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my block rate zero?
Either nothing has crossed your threat threshold in the period — genuinely possible on low ad volume — or your threshold is set too high to catch anything. See Automatic blocking.
Why are visitor numbers lower than in Google Analytics?
Different things are being counted. AdProtektor reports clustered people; GA reports sessions or users by its own definition. Trends should agree even where absolute numbers do not.
