Paranoia Mode
Paranoia Mode acts when the number of eligible Google Ads sessions from an IP reaches the configured threshold within the selected window. It can affect legitimate returning customers; it is not a universal second-click rule.

Configure the count and window
Use Settings → Protection to enable Paranoia Mode and choose its excessive-click threshold and window in hours. The minimum threshold is two; the default is five. This path is for Google Ads traffic; it is separate from Meta audience protection. The excessive-click email report can run independently of blocking and counts per person across IPs, while this rule counts eligible sessions from an IP.
The rule triggers when the qualifying count reaches the threshold. For example, a threshold of five acts on the fifth eligible arrival within the window. Standard click-frequency rules instead act when their configured threshold is exceeded.
Review legitimate repeat visits
Returning to an ad can be normal customer behavior. Set the rule to suit your buying cycle and inspect the evidence and conversion impact.
Conversion-based recovery
Eligible high-intent events from accepted ConversionOS sources can reverse a false-positive block. Tag-passthrough conversions, page views and add-to-cart events do not automatically qualify. External exclusion removal remains subject to synchronization.
Frequently asked questions
Does Paranoia Mode always block the second click?

Does it apply to Meta traffic?
