IP exclusion sync
Once Google Ads is connected, blocked IPs are written into your Google Ads IP-exclusion lists automatically, at account or campaign level. Every sync is recorded in an audit log, so you can always see which IPs were excluded and when.
This is the step that converts detection into saved money. An IP in your Google Ads exclusion list cannot be served your ads, so it cannot click them, so it cannot bill you.
How it works
A visitor is blocked
Either automatically by score or rule, or manually by you.
Their IP is queued for exclusion
Person-level blocks contribute the IPs associated with that person.
The exclusion is written to Google Ads
At account level, or scoped to the campaigns you selected.
The sync is logged
The IP-exclusion log records what was written and when.
Google limits how many IPs a campaign can exclude
Google Ads caps IP exclusions per campaign. AdProtektor prioritises the highest-value exclusions within that budget, which is another reason permanent blocks are reserved for the clearest fraud rather than applied liberally.
Auditing what happened
Open the IP-exclusion log from your Google Ads integration settings. It gives you a per-IP history of exclusions — useful for confirming protection is live, and for evidencing an invalid-traffic claim. See The Google Ads refund report.
When exclusions are removed
Unblocking or whitelisting removes the exclusion. If you run ConversionOS, a blocked visitor who later converts is rolled back out of the exclusion list automatically — you do not have to notice and fix it yourself.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly do exclusions reach Google Ads?
Syncing runs continuously rather than on a daily batch, so exclusions land shortly after the block. Propagation inside Google Ads then takes its own short time.
Can I see the exclusions in Google Ads itself?
Yes. They appear in your campaign or account IP exclusion settings exactly as if you had added them by hand.
Will this interfere with exclusions I added manually?
No. Your own entries are left alone; AdProtektor manages the ones it added.
