Click fraud protection for marketing agencies and PPC managers

An agency answers for every client's budget, and "why are we paying for clicks that never call?" needs an answer with evidence behind it. AdProtektor runs every client site from one account, each with its own settings, protection rules and Google Ads connection, and each visible only to the people you choose.

The exposure

Why paid traffic in this industry attracts invalid clicks

  1. Agencies often run ads for local businesses in expensive niches, such as legal, home services and clinics, where competitors and bots click the same contested keywords.

  2. Clients judge the agency on leads. Invalid clicks and fake leads raise the cost per lead and can look like poor campaign management.

  3. Your own team clicks client ads to check them, which looks exactly like repeat-click fraud unless you whitelist it.

  4. Placements outside Search can bring automated traffic that is hard to judge from inside the ad platform alone.

What to check

What to set up and watch in AdProtektor

Protection runs automatically once your rules are set. These are the settings and signals worth a look first.

Add each client as its own website

Every website in your account has its own settings, protection rules and Google Ads connection. Connect a client's Google Ads account with its Customer ID and one manager invitation, accepted by someone with admin access on that account. There is no OAuth token to expire.

Give access per website

Invite your team with Full Access, which can change settings and blocking rules, and your clients as Viewers. Each invitation covers only the websites you select, so a client sees their own site and nothing else.

Share the evidence, and whitelist your own clicks

Share a read-only audit link with a client, with the option to hide the site's name, and export the Google Ads Refund Report when an invalid-traffic review is worth requesting. Whitelist your team's IP addresses so your own checks never count against the client.
Industry profiles

Start from settings tuned to your sector

AdProtektor ships pre-built industry profiles, each with its own risk benchmarks and recommended rules. A profile's risk tier is what makes its recommendations more or less aggressive.

  1. Open Settings → Industry

For the website you want to configure.
  2. Find your industry

Search the list of profiles and pick the closest match rather than an exact one.
  3. Apply the recommended settings

This sets click protection, enforcement and block duration together. Everything stays editable afterwards.

A profile is a starting point, not a ceiling. Applying one replaces the protection values it covers, so review anything you have already tuned first. Read how industry profiles work

FAQ

Questions we hear from this industry

Can each client keep its own Google Ads account?

Yes. Each website has its own connection, so every client site links to its own Google Ads account. AdProtektor connects through its own manager-account invitation, and your agency's existing access stays as it is.

Can my clients see each other's data?

No. Team access is granted per website, so a client invited as a Viewer sees only the sites you shared with them.

Which plan fits an agency?

Plans differ by how many websites and clicks they cover. Pro and Enterprise cover several websites in one account; the pricing page shows the current limits and prices.

Could AdProtektor block a real customer of my client?

Strict settings can occasionally catch a genuine visitor, so the safeguards matter. Recognized crawlers such as Googlebot are always whitelisted, never blocked. Every block can be reviewed in the dashboard with the reason behind it, and you can whitelist a person or IP in one click. With the ConversionOS add-on, a blocked visitor who goes on to convert is unblocked automatically.
